Family weekend...

Happy 68th birthday Dad!
One Holy Tadhg, can't you
see it reflected in his shades...

Yummy, thanks Karen. I think Saul ate them all!

Every where we go, Saul gathers flowers
for me. I had them in my hair too, and
he had gathered a bunch of some kind
of Lillies from our neighbour's garden.. Oops

Busy day in May

Happy 10th Birthday Sweet Shauna...
We miss you lots in our house.

The calm life of our cat...

Today is the 11th anniversary of
our meeting, and as I looked for the
right image to photograph, I saw
Michael's wedding ring on our Budda.
I seem to react to my own rings, and
placed them next to his.....
...Happy Anniversary love...

So sad..

This past week, our school community was so saddened by the sudden death of a girl in 6th class. She is one of a group of about 6 girls that seem to be connected to each other through suicide. I felt so numb at the funeral yesterday, and thinking back to being 12 and playing with dolls and drawing. That is what I did.

After the burial, I went to The Orchard Garden centre to have a coffee and gather my thoughts together. As I walked home, I passed the empty Graveyard and watched the men working at her grave, just filling it in with soil. That dark weight on top of the coffin just pressed heavy on my heart, and it seemed so empty and such a lonely place that no words could begin to fill.

Thinking of the reality for her friends and family. After the funeral, the real pain and reality sets it. Every time her best friend wears the shoes they bought together in Dundrum last week, what will go through her mind? Every time the kids play football, what will they think? Her chair at her table at school? Her clothes? I can't even begin to imagine their pain.

Visits with friends...

Tony and Kellie
7 today...

The beautiful birthday girl

This little piece of fluff has melted my heart...

Have you ever seen anything as beautiful as this?

A glimpse at what we've been up to...

This morning Aubrey was in his pyjamas
but was cold and the world was just too
bright. So his jacket and shades were called for!
I love when Aubrey draws. He spent
so long working on this.....

A rare moment of no fighting! We have
had these tracks since Cal was 2!

Saul at work.... He is so determined to do
it all his way. He wants to cut the fabric and
use the machine..... By himself. Help!

What my husband does best....

Michael has shopping down to a fine
art. Each week he goes shopping, and has
a canny way of finding the bargains. I guess
he is in the right place at the right time!
9 Cent for a loaf of today's Granary Bread!

This has to be his best bargain though.
5 Cent! I don't think he will get cheaper
than that.... A couple of weeks ago, he
was at the poultry section, just as a
chicken was reduced from €6.00
down to 30 Cent! Well done Michael!

Mad socks for a mad boy

Saul's lantern broke, so he decided
he would decorate and make his own!
He couldn't even wait for me to take
the label off the jam jar...

Here he is with his sunflower
and all the cress seeds from
his Fairy Godmother

And here he is in the beautiful socks
Tia made... I can see a saga starting.
He will want to wear them all day and
all night. In fact it has already started!
He was going to bed with just the socks...

I'd love them myself........

More May Day....

We spent the evening with Tia and family
and friends. It was wonderful to celebrate
Bealtaine. They had the May Pole, well
done Sean, that was no easy feat.......
Surprisingly, all the kids seemed to
love it and really got into the spirit of
it, once they had stopped fighting over
who got what colour ribbon.
In full swing.

An angel watching over us.

Aideen made all the lanterns, so
simple, and so beautiful. Well done
Aideen for all your hard work.
You'll sleep well tonight!

Bealtaine

Guess who was baking all day... Thanks Tia!
Aideen made these wonderful lanterns,
and they were such a big hit with all of us,
especially Saul. He will wake up asking for his!

I loved these lanterns. Sitting at the table
was amusing, as all the chairs were sinking.

Shauna's?
